Zynga May Enter Online Gambling Industry

Mobile and social media gaming company Zynga is expected to place its bets on online gambling.
The company from San Francisco, which owns the Farmville games, which are very popular on Facebook is said to be looking at perhaps entering the internet gambling and iPhone casino games business. It is said that Zynga may do so with the possible partnership of another company.
This is considered to be one of several business ventures for the multimillion pound company. It is claimed the company has taken interest in the field as many States in the US are said to be considering some form of Internet betting. Currently only Nevada allows for online betting to take place.
Zynga currently owns the US’s most popular mobile poker game, though the virtual money used cannot be turned into cash. Companies such as MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment are said to be pushing legislation which would allow mobile casino games to be played – perhaps in partnership with companies, such as Zynga who produce similar software.
The new laws would only allow for established companies into the market, though allow software companies such as Zynga to enter the market as partners.
Zynga Poker currently has more than 7 million online users. Players pay money to get virtual chips and then use them to bet. These players accumulate the chips they win, but can’t cash them in. Zynga, which sold shares to the public last money, uses Facebook to allow people access to its games. It has also claimed it is developing an independent platform, called Zynga Direct, to allow it more independence in this area in iPhone Casino games
